Introduction:

Hello my name is Lara!

I am a US citizen, but have traveled worldwide and lived abroad. Currently, I teach ELL at the middle and high school in my school district, students in grades 6-12 and have done this now for the last 6 years. My students are predominantly Hispanic from Mexico and South America, I do have a few students from the Middle East, India, Russia, and exchange students from Europe and Thailand. My Master's Degree in Teaching Students of other languages and my undergrad has a concentration in the Pacific Rim and International Studies. I score the TOEIC and TOEFL Exams for ETS and have since 2009, therefore am very familiar with the foundations of them. Prior, I have been teaching various levels and subject areas in the state of California where I previously resided and attended college for all of my degrees. I am a certified teacher and have been teaching since 2000.  

I spent a year in Southern Thailand, living with a family and attending school when I was younger, Nakorn Sri Thamarat to be exact and loved it!! I left a mature young woman, world traveler, and speaking a very difficult language.

I love to do yoga, also certified to teach, ballet, meditate, and enjoy adventures!
