Christian teacher needed for High Pay, Low teaching hours position

ABOUT US

Coram Deo English school is an American-owned and operated English school (hagwon) located in Seoul, South Korea. We teach mostly elementary-aged students. We have a very low student turnover rate, and a high level of trust with the parents. Our mission is to provide a student-focused learning experience that is fun, engaging, and effective. We also desire to instill a passion for life-long learning. We are looking for Christian teachers that are energetic, passionate about teaching, and love children.  

THE POSITION

Salary: 2.4 million + (Based on experience and education)  

Work Hours: 1:00-8:00 (However, you may be done before 7:00 on some days, depending on your teaching schedule)

Teaching Hours: 25 hours a week

Students: 10 max

Start: June 2018 (It’s possible to start sooner.)

Location: Eastern Seoul

BENEFITS

Housing: modern single furnished housing near the school (apartments are less than 2 years old)

Full Benefits: Health, pension etc.

Severance: One month’s salary upon completion of a one-year contract.

Vacation: 5 days in the summer and 5 days in the winter (days are set according to the local school calendar)

THE IDEAL TEACHER 

- Have taught in Korea with at least one finished contract (if you are applying from abroad, we will consider internships or teaching credential)

- Have all documents ready to process visa

- Enjoy working in a fast paced, but structured environment

- Have a sincere interest in teaching and want to develop as a teacher

- Have a “can do” attitude and is a team player

- Have a desire to share God’s love with the children

- Native speaker with a North American accent

Candidates in Korea will be asked to do a 15-20 minute demo lesson during the interview. Candidates applying from abroad will be asked to submit a lesson plan and a short video of their teaching.
