English Language and Literacy Teacher

I Can Read, Myanmar is a hiring a Native English Teacher to join their team in Yangon starting this June 2019.  

I Can Read teaches ESL and English Literacy to students aged 2.5 – 15 years old through our fun teaching methodology. Curriculum and materials are all provided to you as well as small class sizes with a teaching assistant.

What we offer:

- Salary between USD 1500-1800

- Shared accommodation provided

- 10 days paid annual leave per year plus paid public holidays

- 5-day working week

- Maximum 25 teaching hours per week plus 15 administration/open house event hours

- End of contract bonus of one month’s base salary

- End of contract flight reimbursement of up to USD 1,100

- Health insurance

- Working visa

- Full teacher training programme in Singapore (Teachers will be paid to attend this training. Accommodation in Singapore and the flight from Singapore to Myanmar are also provided)

Requirements:

- Native English Speaker (from USA, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland or South Africa)

- Bachelor’s degree from above stated countries

- Recognised teaching certificate (CELTA, TEFL, etc.)

- At least one year’s teaching experience (with young learners would be advantageous)

- Clean criminal background check

- Confidence in teaching students of all ages (especially young learners)
