English teacher (remote, part-time)

School4living is an international language school. We offer virtual conversation courses and private lessons in English, Spanish and German (on Zoom).

From the revenue of the course fees, one part goes directly as scholarships to our learners, from for example developing countries.

The School4living pedagogy is characterized by a practical way of teaching. The les-sons are individually tailored to each learner, thus what is learned can be directly applied in the desired everyday situation or in work situations. School4living is in-ternational, which means we combine different cultures; teachers and learners are from all over the world and can be found in School4living.

To expand the team, we are looking for a motivated English teacher and a motivat-ed Spanish teacher for 5-20 working hours per week each, starting in Febru-ary/March. There is the possibility to combine the two positions.

Responsibilities: 

• teaching private lessons (one learner/tandem) according to the School4living pedagogy

• professional preparation and follow-up of private lessons

• leading conversation clubs (small groups) according to the School4living pedagogy

• possible task: further development of the School4living pedagogy in the team

Requirements:

• certificated teacher or in education, experience in teaching languages

• English as mother tongue or C2 level, basic knowledge of minimum one other language

• big interest in languages and different cultures

• very good empathy into each learners' learning method

• preferred: good communication skills and willingness to contribute to an open team

• a computer/laptop, fast and reliable internet, a quiet space to work
