ESL teachers in Valladolid, Spain

We have an opening for an English teacher at our school. Ideally,
starting in July. We offer a contract of 20 hours a week from
Monday to Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. (760€ approx. before taxes- 740€
approx. after taxes). Fridays are negotiable, if the teacher prefers not
to work on Fridays that should be negotiated before signing the
contract, also there is a possibility of working Friday morning, as well
to be negotiated.
In certain moments of the year those hours may increase (everything will
be legally included in the contract). Every addition to the original
contract of 20 hours a week will be done with an attachment so that
every hour you work is legal.
We usually work with a client who asks for in-company classes in the
mornings, this year we had 6 hours a week. In that case the rate for the
in-company classes is 13€/hour. Take into account that those classes are
not commonly all the years, that depends on the client. Normally they
start in October or November and end in May or June. So apart from the
block hours, which is the stable job, so to say, there is always the
possibility of increasing the hours.
The contract includes 1 month of holidays to be distributed as follows:
3 weeks in a row in summer, July-August, and 1 week at Christmas (the
distribution can be negotiated). In addition to all the national bank
holidays.
We provide our teachers with all necessary materials so you will not
need to work at home.
Our school follows the sector agreement: Convenio de Enseñanza no
Reglada.
There is a new law in Spain by which everybody who works with minors
needs to have a clear criminal record regarding sexual abuse. It
shouldn't be complex to get it. The idea is that you can't get that
document in your country of origin and once you come to Spain you can
get the Spanish one, we need both. (I will help you when you come).
As for the accommodation, I can help you a bit with that if the language
is a problem. Take into account that we are located in Valladolid and
the accommodation here cost around 150€-200€/month in a shared
apartment.
We need a qualified teacher with a work permit. To work in Spain, as in
the rest of Europe you must have a document called NIE, which is an
identification number for foreigners.
