We are seeking an innovative and qualified educator to join the faculty at our leading co-educational international school. You will be a hardworking and enthusiastic teaching professional with excellent subject knowledge and a sound understanding of the Common Core State Standards and American elementary school curriculum. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (preferably in the U.S.) in Elementary Education (Master's degree preferred)
• Valid teaching certificate (State issued), specifically upper elementary education
• Knowledge of: subject areas appropriate to assignment (e.g., assessment for learning, UbD, lesson planning, curriculum development, professional learning communities, project-based learning, differentiated instruction, and standards-based grading); effective instructional techniques; effective classroom management skills
• Experience teaching English Language Learners (ELLs) ***NOTE: These classes are NOT ESL classes.
• Highly proficient in reading, writing, and oral communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills, ability to adapt and remain flexible, good organizational skills, promote and maintain positive attitude and working relationships with students, parents/guardians, staff and administrators, positive contributor to the school community

POSITION DETAILS
- Start date: August 1, 2017
- Work hours: 8A.M. - 4:30P.M. (Instruction hours: 8:30A.M. - 3:15P.M.)
- Benefits: (Health, pension, roundtrip airfare every two years to home of record, housing allowance)
