How to Teach Relative Clauses
Posted by Insights to... - 05 Mar. 2018 - Teaching Articles

It's one thing to learn how to identify relative clauses; it's another thing to learn how to form them.  Even if your students know what relative clauses are, they might be at a loss when they need to use them.

This video goes through 4 steps of taking two clauses and putting them into a complex sentence (in which one of the clauses is a non-defining relative clause).  Laying out the process into distinct steps can help students understand and remember what to do.

Insights to English creates more videos like this to give teachers the perspectives they need to get the material through to every student. Check out our YouTube channel for more.
