My Profile

Hello, my name is Brianna Morales. I am currently working towards receiving my TESOL/TEFL certification through Uni-Prep. 

I have travelled to various countries including Canada, Spain, and the Philippines, and thus have been exposed to various cultures and social and economic differences throughout the world.

I believe learning a language is valuable to be able to form connections between an individual and the rest of the world. It allows for critical thinking and communication cross culturally, and broadens the range of relationships and job opportunities available. 

Through education I have a better understanding of different styles of learning and teaching, and how effective these styles are based on individuals. As unique as each student, so too are the teaching styles needed to educate. I myself identify as a visual and kinesthetic learner, and value lesson plans that tackle multiple modes of teaching to provide a more holistic learning environment for all types of students. 

While standard lecture-based teaching and standardized tests have their importance, I find that approaching lessons through more creative outlets such as games, group activities, and artistic venues, (when applicable,) allows thorough understanding of the lesson, and allows students to learn long term while enjoying themselves.

I hope to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for students to learn and utilize effective communication skills in English through the information learned through the program.
