Hello there! My name is Daniel Blanco. I am from Caracas, Venezuela. Raised in Ottawa, Canada, and currently backpacking (travelling) South America. I´m currently living in the beautiful city of Quito, Ecuador where I teach English and work as a translator annd interpreter. I have worked in Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador and in China as an online teacher.
I have been teaching for eleven years and it has been an amazing experience! Right now, I´m teaching English for two companies, but I have plenty time to arrange more classes. I have been teaching Chinese students for two years now, and it has been a rewarding experience, they are super cool to work with.
I have advanced knowledge of structural grammar, functional grammar, phonetics and phonology and lingustics. Likewise, I can apply different approaches and methodolgies in the classroom for students to have a meaningful language adquisition in the target language and improve ther receptive and productive skills (Listening, speaking, reading and writing).
I create content material for teachers and students, podcasts, subtitles, listening tracks, songs, phonic material and more.
I love arts and sciences. I am interested in archeology, botanics, history, literature, cooking, travelling and adventure.
I am friendly, easy going, open-minded, patient, organized and creative. I love to work with languages and I am capable of doing any task related to it (Spanish and English).
I always do my best because what I do is what I love.
