2 NATIVE ENGLISH TEACHERS NEEDED!   

Debbie's School is a small but successful English academy looking for 2 lively, outgoing and committed English teachers to start in September 2017. Excellent resources and a very supportive learning atmosphere for teachers and students alike. Although the school is in Manlleu, teachers usually live in the nearby town of Vic. Approximately 1 hour away from Barcelona, the Pyrenees and the Costa Brava. We aren't actually in Barcelona itself and it wouldn't be viable to Commute.                                                                                                                                                     Details of Position

Debbie's School, a small English academy and official Cambridge exam preparation centre, is looking for 2 CELTA/TEFL qualified teachers for the academic year September 2017 - June 2018. Teachers should be cheerful, lively, genuinely interested in teaching and enjoy working with both children and adults. I am looking for enthusiastic and professional teachers who are easy-going, open to new ideas and who are also keen to share theirs. Teachers must know how to get the most out of all age-groups and levels, but at the same time be able to deliver dynamic and motivating lessons.

Teachers should be more than happy to sprawl on the floor with the younger learners, to motivate the rebellious teenagers, and to cater for the interests of the adult learners both in school and in companies. We have the same goal as our students - we want them to learn English and enjoy doing so. We also want to work as a team, not 4 individuals.
We are a small but dedicated, professional and motivated team committed to the promotion of learning and practising English in a friendly atmosphere. 
Courses are for general English with most students aiming to sit Cambridge exams at some point. Our students vary from young children to mature adults but children and young teenagers form the bulk of our students. It is, therefore, vital that teachers really do enjoy and have fun teaching children and teenagers and have the ability to relate with them and manage them easily.  I like teachers who are chirpy and demanding at the same time and who feel comfortable teaching and working with all age-groups. If you are unsure about teaching children, then this school is NOT for you!
Courses are all grouped according to their level and age and take place mainly in the afternoon and evening.(Mon-Frid). There are also some private company classes which are at different times. There are NO weekend classes. The maximum number per class is 12. Maximum weekly number of contact teaching hours is 25. 
The school is well-known and well-considered locally and my teachers help to maintain this reputation. We are reputed to be hard-working and to getting good results. The school has a wealth of extra resources and offers constant support both to students and teachers. 
We run skills workshops for the teachers at the beginning and during the course. It is a small school, but a very nice place to work and develop professionally! I can provide the email addresses of some former teachers so that you can contact them. 
Although the school is in Manlleu, teachers usually live in the nearby large town of Vic. Vic has more amenities and is a very pretty place and popular for its various markets throughout the year. Although it doesn't have the same to offer as a large city, there is plenty to do and lots of beautiful places to visit nearby.

Qualifications/Requisites

TEFL/CELTA certificate (one month minimum) 
Native English teachers only 
minimum 3 years TEFL experience 
Experience in Cambridge exam preparation a definite advantage 
Experience teaching children and teenagers a must and the ability to manage them efficiently is more than a must. 
EU passport holders only 

CBR/basic disclosure certificate necessary
basic computer skills 

Salary and Benefits

€1100- €1350 month net for 25 hours weekly
