To whom this may concern,

My name is Diana Davis. I graduated this May, 2017 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Bilingual Education EC-6 Generalist with a mayor in Elementary Education and a minor in Spanish. I am a certified Bilingual and generalist content educator. I strongly believe in the power of education and breaking language barriers. Therefore, it is with great enthusiasm to submit my application to teach at your institution and hopefully be considered for this opportunity. I'm looking forward to teach overseas as I would also love to immerse myself in a different culture and break language barriers through teaching English as I understand what learning a language implies. I can proudly say that through education, discipline and determination I overcame the language barrier when learning Spanish and I can proudly say I’m fluent in both English and Spanish. I recently came back from a volunteering experience in a very low income village in Cambodia and learned that kids and adults are willing to learn English in every part of this world. I did my student teaching/internship with 1st grade gifted and talented students to fulfill my undergraduate studies and enjoyed the experience to the fullest. Throughout the years I have discovered that teaching is my passion and eventually studied something I really enjoy doing. I have gained experience with ESL students throughout my college years. I have tutored children from Kindergarten-6th grade. I would love to provide a safe positive classroom environment as well as facilitate and accommodate learning according to students' needs and their different learning styles with engaging and unique learning opportunities facilitating communication through my students. I believe that as educators we are the source and guidance to their academic growth and development.
