Due to employment restrictions, I had to resort to teaching online. To date, over ten courses and various webinars, and interactive workshops have been conducted online. In addition to this, I assisted with materials development for several language centres.

After teaching regular ESL classes, my boss approached me to ask if I'd be interested in helping to launch a new TESOL Certificate IV course in Dalat, Vietnam. I jumped at the opportunity and helped design the curriculum materials and we started running TESOL courses in October 2016.

Due to the fact that my position at Hello English was a part-time one, I was encouraged to seek other employment on the days which were not occupied by TESOL teacher training.  In addition to teaching ESL classes to various age groups, I was also asked to run professional development and skills exchange workshops for the teachers at the language centre.  These workshops focussed on the use of technology in the ESL classroom.

I was required to teach multi-national ESL adult students, particularly focussing on private students, who required custom-made ESL lessons, which meant designing curricula and materials to suit their specific needs.  In addition to this, I was asked to serve as interim Director of Studies, which involved heading a staff of over fifteen teachers.  Responsibilities included running professional development and skills exchange workshops, which focussed on training my colleagues in the use of new technologies and modern pedagogical approaches, methodologies and techniques.

This language centre offered multi-national adult students the unique opportunity to join an ESL programme which integrated a cultural South African experience.  I was required to teach ESL classes as well as private students, who needed custom-made ESL lessons and curricula.

After teaching in conventional schools, I needed a break and was offered a position on a wine farm, where I was tasked with managing the wine tasting room.  Responsibilities included educating customers on the wine produced on the farm, sales and distribution of the wines, training casuals, and performing administrative duties.

I was offered a post at this lucrative private school in Cape Town and taught Art and Life Orientation to children aged between 13 and 15.  I was tasked with assisting in the set and backdrop design of the school plays and ran an extra-curricular Art Club on Thursday afternoons.

I worked part-time at Zonnebloem Children's Art Centre in 2007, while completing my BEd (Hons) degree in Art Education.

In 2008, I was hired to teach Art to high school learners aged between 14 and 18 at Alexander Sinton High School.  In addition to teaching, I was also asked to assist in running a camp on non-violence for at-risk teenagers.
