An art teacher once told the class, “a day in which you do not learn something new, it is a day wasted.” This has been Jacqueline’s core philosophy since.
Jacqueline has achieved a Bachelor of Arts in Animation and Interactive Media, an Associate of Arts in Graphic Design, with note of History and Entrepreneurial studies, as well as a TESOL/TEFL 120 Certification.
Her experience in these industries includes work directly for the Career Services Department as a Digital Media secretary under the head and assistant head of the department during her study for her BFA. She followed her graduation with an abroad study at the Niigata College of Art and Design, and acquired a role as an editor for a Special Investigations Unit immediately upon return to the States. After, the acquisition of the TESOL/TEFL 120 Certification, this earned her shift into her current part time role as an English teacher for Cafetalk, an encouraging company for any one interested in learning a new language, with a focus on English and Japanese and Korean due to the company’s main location and student content. She works for the company as a private English teacher, based on her own curriculum and manages a handful of adult students in Japan while using English and Japanese to help in her students learning process. Simultaneously, for current full-time work, she also fulfills the role of artist and teacher in a laboratory setting in the 3D digital and print departments. Jacqueline developed a streamline process for application software use for the company, and earned the role of teacher, on top of the 3D artist role.
To continue the pursuit of efficiency in overall career goals, Jacqueline has been studying Japanese at North Shore Japanese in Massachusetts in the goal of returning to Japan, not as a student, but as an English teacher.
