I am Leah A. Medado, 43 years of age, married with three children. I gained my Bachelors of Arts degree in Mass Communications at the University of the Philippines Cebu College, Cebu City in 1995.

My work experiences cover a variety of industries like telecommunications (sales & marketing), education (tertiary education) with special emphasis on teaching tourism and communications subjects (ESL and journalism), arts and crafts (visual & installation artist/social entrepreneur) and at present I am a freelance travel agent with a license in tour guiding in the Philippines.

I've been in the service sector in tourism for more than five years now but I started in the employment sector since 1995. I have worked with major domestic and international companies back in the Philippines such as Pilipino Telephone Corporation (Piltel) and Toyota to name a few.

I started teaching in higher education in 2007 and up to the present I am still working part-time in a local college for an online e-tourism courses in my country.

Right now, am finishing my paper for my second bachelors degree in Tourism at the University of San Jose Recoletos in Cebu City through the government's education commission special acceleration program for tourism industry professionals. In addition, as a way of 'sharpening the saw', am now enrolled in 120-hour online Teaching English as Foreign Language (TEFL) certification course to further add value to my teaching experiences and qualifications.

To my future employers, all I can assure them is that I am a dedicated type of person when it comes to working and I have proven my skills and work ethics by the awards and recognitions given to me by both tourism stakeholders in the public and private sectors in the Philippines which I am presently involved in.

I am a person with integrity and excellent work ethics with a very good social, interpersonal, managerial. leadership and intercultural skills. Looking forward for an employer who have the sense of commitment and care to their workforce to ensure a sustainable career and professional development in the future.
