Executive Profile
Before becoming a qualified accountant and chartered corporate secretary, I commenced my working career in public accounting (with PricewaterhouseCoopers) and subsequently advanced my career within the offshore banking investment sector by working in the settlements of billion dollar trades on the US and Asian markets. This work involved designing, implementing and managing financial systems, corporate and personnel procedures as well as treasury and investment systems.
In 2002, in order to lead a flexible work schedule geared towards raising four children, I embarked on the provision of private consultancy services on a full time basis. As a consultant (with LMN Associates), I collaborate with other associates to provide consultancy services to innovative and future-focused business owners to successfully outsource their financial, accounting and corporate secretarial functions.
A high point in my professional development
occurred when I was nominated for and participated in the prestigious US
Department of State sponsored International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) in
2009. With a focus on the 2008 financial
meltdown, this exercise involved visiting Washington, DC and four American states
to engage several American financial counterparts, learning about the U.S.
financial system, and meeting with officials from the US Congress, Federal
Reserve and the US Treasury. (Over 225 current and former heads of government
and state and many other distinguished world leaders in the public and private
sectors have participated in the IVLP).
Core Competencies:
“It’s still really important that people have good, old fashioned basic finance. We’ve seen what can happen if you don’t”. Robin J. Stalker, CFO of Adidas.
Career Objective: With all my children working or/and at
college age, my primary professional goal is to work doing what I love, that
is, teaching and empowering others to be the best they can be. In pursuit of this objective, I have acquired a Master of Education in
Teaching English Learners.
