Hello,

My name is Michael Mur, I am 29 years old and I am familiar with English for over 18 years and I am living and teaching abroad since 2015. I speak English as a first language in my day-to-day life for over 7 years now. Additionally I have a high IELTS score and a TEFL certificate.
 
I am currently visiting my family and my friends in my home country, Austria. In January 2018 I would love to come back to South East Asia to further teach English to children and adults. In 2017 I worked for private english centers in Nepal (Superb Catalyst Academy, Khanikhola) and Vietnam (Galaxy Center, Tam Ky), at both schools for 5 to 6 months. 
 
During my time as an ESL Teacher in Vietnam, I developed English lessons plans in line with Government guidelines and I provided guidance and advice to pupils on educational and social matters. I was always setting a good example through exemplary personal conduct and I was also responsible to write up, prepare course material and handouts. I always use clear and concise language when teaching in a class and I set tasks which challenge students and ensure a high level of interest. Mainly I worked with young students and adults (beginners and intermediates). In my opinion it is extremely important to introduce new teaching methods, based on creativity and fun, to the students as well. Having fun in the classroom is a key to motivate the students. Also the relationship between students and their teacher determines how successful and effective the pupils can learn a foreign language. I always try to build up a friendship with my pupils, in order to find out more about their individual strengths and weaknesses. In my opinion nothing is more important than to be a friendly, caring and compassionate teacher and to adjust accordingly to the students needs. 

I also have a Masters and Bachelors degree in Biotechnology and a clean criminal record. Ever since I graduated from University, I decided to use my English language skills and my passion and knowledge to teach children and adults in South East Asia. I love to travel and to broaden my horizon by collecting valuable experiences abroad. Personally I am very interested in the Eastern culture and I would love to settle down again in Central Vietnam. Please also consider that I work outside of the classroom. I offer meditation and yoga courses and I love to play games with children of all ages during breaks or when there is free time.
