I’m a 25-year old female living in South Africa. I am a qualified Occupational therapist, during my studies I was a part time au pair which presented me the opportunity to teach English. I am equipped to assist all ages but helping children is where my true passion lies. I have successfully completed my 160-hour TEFL course, I am thus certified to teach English to those who speak other languages.
The teaching philosophy that I firmly believe will help a student reach their full potential and perform at their best; is having fun in class. For optimal learning conditions, I am able to create a fun, loving and safe environment. My role as a teacher is to help each child learn English in their preferred learning style in order to reach their full potential. I believe in strong interpersonal bonds between teacher and student to enhance the teaching experience.
Teaching English and sharing skills and knowledge within such a universal language is beneficial to all.
I find it is rewarding to teach children something new and witness them interacting with one another in English- an international language of communication.
I am a competent English teacher because I seize every opportunity to encourage learning, believing that all students are capable of learning and speaking English. My approach is patient, calm and creative. I am determined to make my classes as enjoyable as possible and my eagerness in the pursuit of teaching this important language will always be something that I am highly motivated to do.
