The founding team has over 12 years of valuable experience in Education, Training,

Course development and Online Language Teaching.

We believe it is important that our teachers can help and motivate the students,

guiding them to become independent learners. We want teachers to be creative and

not just follow a certain syllabus, which has particular lessons to recite to the

children, and make them recite back. We would prefer our teachers to work with their

heart and have a passion for teaching. We want all the students to feel the teacher’s

passion showing through in every lesson, as we nurture them to become fluent and

confident English speakers.

 HOW LONG ARE THE LESSONS?

All lessons are either 30 minutes or 60 minutes depending on the course and

students age or ability.

 HOW MANY STUDENTS ARE IN EACH CLASS?

Classes are conducted 1-on-1 or in small group classes of no more than 3 students

max.

 WHAT DO WE TEACH?

We provide all our teachers with the teaching Materials, they will be sent to your

email or a link provided to download the files needed. We use a six-level ESL/EFL

course with full lesson plans as textbooks, phonics courses and some picture book

reading courses. We are always adding new and improved courses. So, these may

change accordingly.

 WHAT ARE THE STUDENTS AGES/LEVELS?

Students are aged from 6-12, beginner to intermediate level. Our aims are to

improve on vocabulary, sentence structures, basic grammar, reading and English

fluency. We strongly believe in using 3 important styles of teaching within each class,

catering to the students learning ability. These are ‘Auditory, Visual and kinesthetics’

abilities.’

 HOW DOES PINATA EDUCATION PAY ITS TEACHERS?

We pay new teachers a salary with a base rate of US$17 an hour up until US$25 an

hour via PayPal. Teachers who fit the criteria start on US$20 an hour. Your salary

will be paid to you on a monthly basis. Payment of the previous month will be sent no

later than the 3rd of every following month. Pinata does not cover the PayPal fees.

However, if you have a better way to receive your money, we are always open to

suggestions. This starting rate depends on how well you do in your first demo.

Once employed with Pinata Education the rate can increase due to a range of

factors, such as previous teaching experience, keeping students/students

continuously signing up with you and length of contracts. We would like each teacher

to set up a PayPal account if you do not have one yet you can click here. We have

our own time-sheet which we would like teachers to complete every single month, it

will be sent to you once you start working with Pinata.

 WHAT ARE THE WORKING HOURS? 

Pinata Education operates 7 days a week.

Weekdays: 5 p.m.-9 p.m. (GMT+8 Beijing time) 

Weekends 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. (GMT+8 Beijing time) ​
