Introduction:

My name is Rebecca Schmitt and I am 25 years old from the United States. Teaching English is important to me because it is one of the best ways to share cultural experiences. Through language, a person can connect with different people on a powerful level and expand their perspective of the world. When I first began traveling South America, I made every effort to become fluent in Spanish. Learning Spanish gave way to an incredible amount of opportunities and experiences that I would not have otherwise experienced. I would like to help others have the same access to opportunities that I did.
