About Me
Introduction:
Hello, my name is Sharif Ahmad Shabbir. I am a bilingual Bengali and English speaker from Bangladesh. It’s a small country in South Asia located in between India and Myanmar. I have advanced level of proficiency in English as per my IELTS scores of 7.5 and studying in English all my life since I was 3 years old.
As for my teaching experience, I have been a private tutor of Bangladeshi students aged 5-18 who studied in English schools for 7 years from 2005 to 2012. I began teaching English online from January 2016. And so far I’ve taught students from all around the world living in 4 different continents.
My motivation to continue my work as a teacher is that it gives me immense satisfaction knowing my teaching can empower people and that I get to help people learn something new and positively impact their lives by imparting beneficial knowledge to them.
I’m open to new teaching opportunities both online and also in a real classroom so that I can further hone my teaching skills for all situations with all levels of students ranging from delicate kids to busy working adults.
Besides teaching, I am interested in languages especially Mandarin, Japanese and Arabic. I also have interests in geography, history, traveling, photography, news media, social media and tech gadgets.
