Languages for Leaders provides exclusive language and communication coaching for CEOs and founders who are looking for the best-in-class tuition, with the fastest possible results.

They are smart, committed professionals that really need to improve their English as fast as possible. They will be demanding, but also very smart and rewarding students to work with.

For each student, you will be part of a small Success Team of language and communication experts who will be all contributing to the success of the student. Members of the student’s Success Team may attend some or all of the lessons if necessary to inform and enhance their own sessions.

Courses will typically last 3 to 6 months and vary in intensity, depending on the student’s availability. In some cases, they will require you to be available 1-2h per day, Monday to Friday, and in some cases weekends too (though negotiable based on the client’s schedule).

Teachers are expected to have significant experience teaching English to senior executives, and exhibit maximum flexibility and professionalism.

Work will be completed on a freelance basis. Please note that you will need to provide invoices either weekly or monthly, depending on the agreement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Teach business English 2-10h per week, with an approach adapted to how the student learns best and that incorporating the advice provided by the other experts in the student’s Success Team;

- Prepare a personalised programme for each student, and provide materials for each lesson;

- Update students’ personal learning space (on designated learning platform) with overall programme and all materials for each lesson;

- Create additional materials for homework, whenever requested by the student, and provide feedback as needed;

- After each session, briefly record what was covered as well as any comments or feedback useful for the rest of the Success Team;

- Liaise regularly with student’s Success Team to discuss student’s progress and any difficulties encountered, adapt programme and/or materials, and suggest and implement agreed measures to accelerate progress;

- Attend training sessions when required.

All the time to perform these activities will be paid for as part of the negotiated weekly/monthly package.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Bilingual in English and at least one other language. If you are a native English speaker, we expect you to be fluent in at least one other language. If you are a non-native speaker of English, you need to be highly proficient in English.

- Qualified in TESOL/TEFL, preferably with a master’s-level degree (1 year minimum) in Teaching English as a Foreign/Second Language, Language Education, or a highly-related field. Preference will be given to candidates with more advanced studies in the field, including bachelor, master and doctoral degrees;

- Experience of at least 5 years teaching English as a foreign or additional language, preferably to executive and corporate clients and/or business English. If you have experience teaching CEOs and C-suite executives, please mention it in the application.

- Ideally, experience in business communication and/or strong business acumen, including practical experience working in corporate environments.

- Coaching qualifications, either in language or communication coaching, will also be considered an advantage.

- Deep understanding of language learning and teaching issues, with curiosity to expand this knowledge and adapt your teaching to specific methods and approaches, depending the student’s learning preferences.

APPLICATION STEPS:

1. Apply using the questionnaire below.

2. If your application is selected, you will be invited to an interview with the Founder & CEO of the company (30 min).

3. If your interview goes well and we think you are a potential fit for our clients and programmes, you will be asked to do 2 test lessons (45-60 min). The first lesson will be the usual free test lesson required by most platforms. If this lesson goes well, you will be invited for the the second test lesson, which will be paid at your usual hourly rate.

4. Before confirming your engagement with the organization, successful candidates will be required to:

- provide copies of all your certificates;

- sign a contract accepting the terms and conditions of your collaboration with the company (as described above);

- sign an NDA to ensure the confidentiality of all proprietary systems and any information shared by the students and/or other teachers/coaches.
