Preschool English Literacy Teacher in Beijing, China

Learning Sparks prepares students to participate in a multilingual environment that values other cultures while grow their English literacy.

We are looking for an experienced Preschool English Literacy teachers, work under the supervision of the school principal, responsible for instruction, specialized services and support to students, to develop advanced levels of proficiencies in English. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

• Expose students to the language of English and culture of English speaking countries.
• Build a foundational vocabulary base and a friendly environment for communication and social interaction.
• Use songs, rhymes, pictures and technology components to deliver the programme.
• Create a joyful, efficient, learning-focused classroom or natural learning environment that leads to student growth -- both academically and socio-emotionally
• Use a range of summative and formative assessment data to inform and differentiate instruction.
• Communicate and work closely with students’ families.
• Co-Teach side-by-side with another Chinese teacher. Collaborate and plan together to build strategies to support all students. 

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• You have at least one year of experience as a lead teacher and a history of raising student achievement in a middle-income school.
• You want to work closely with your peers in a collaborative teaching setting.
• You want to work in a feedback-rich culture, and are eager to grow your practice through individual coaching and professional development opportunities.
• You have a history of effectively using academic data to drive whole-group and small-group instruction.
• You believe effective instruction is full of joy and rigor. λ You have consistently partnered with families as part of your plan for student success.
• You have a track record of holding high expectations for yourself and your students.
• You have experience working with non-English speaking students 
• You have a Bachelor’s Degree, and ideally certification to teach in Early Education.
