Residential EFL Teacher

Reporting to the Director of Short Courses, you will be tasked with the following:

• The preparation and effective delivery of your classes on our Summer School.

Your work will involve teaching two classes per day of 90 minutes of contact time for five days per week. Your work will also include helping out on the social programme on some evenings.

• In addition, you will lead, supervise and accompany students on excursions, ensuring their safety and welfare at all times, for an extra day per week

• The assessment and provision of relevant and timely feedback on achievement, progress and developmental needs to students and managers including an end of course certificate

• To set, evaluate and mark students' coursework, homework and other work as appropriate

• To administer and mark placement tests; carry out a range of formative and summative assessments as appropriate

• To induct students appropriately; providing academic advice, counselling and

educational guidance

• To supervise students' atttendance and behaviour as appropriate

• To develop materials and resources in liaison with the Director of Studies

• To attend meetings and INSET sessions as required

• To adhere to the standards and procedures set out in the staff handbook

• To deal with students issues/emergencies as and when they arise

• To promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young persons you are responsible for/come into contact with during your period of employment
