It is suggested that the pictures should be laminated for durability.  Photographs have been used so that items can be easily identified. 

The vocabulary covered -

 Kitchen:  fridge, bowl, sink, kettle. pot or pan, table, egg, plate, cooker, washing machine  Sitting Room:  clock, television, rug or mat, radio, telephone, plant, bookcase, cushion, chair, radiator  Bathroom:  sponge, bath, towel, shower, soap, tap, toothbrush, water, basin, toilet  Bedroom:  window, teddy bear, pillow, bed, clothes brush, picture, lamp, mirror, chest of drawers.  These cards could be used with a wide age range of students beginning to learn English.   They could also be used as a reading and matching activity with younger native English speakers
