My name is Adrian Lapadatu, I'm 39 years old and I'm from Romania, where I grew up and spent my teenage years. For the most part of my adult life I lived in Florida, where I moved to once I turned 20.
Had I not come in contact with the American language and culture I probably wouldn't have pursued a career in ESL teaching. The 12 years experience In the USA proved an extremely valuable experience that came handy by the time I moved to Ecuador and started teaching ESL classes to adults and kids.
Working at a local English language academy was one of the most fulfilling jobs for me. It taught me a lot about teaching, getting over the language and cultural barriers, and helping learners improving their communication skills. It was a lot of fun.
I love learning about the Asian culture in general and I’m currently learning to read and speak the Chinese language.
