Introduction:

Hello, I am Adrienne Landry, Namibian by birth, South African by citizenship and currently residence. I have lived in Canada and Switzerland.

Before embarking on my career I studied English at University – 3rd year level, but did not complete my degree. I am currently studying for an Advanced Grammar Certificate.

I currently teach Russian children aged 5 - 11 in one on one classes as well as Chinese adults, also one on one. I have previously taught group adult classes from around the world, up to 6 in a class as well as Chinese children group classes of 4 children to a class.

I volunteer at our local school and teach children between the ages of 4 and 16.

My accent is fairly neutral and I believe my speech clear. I operate from my quiet study / office in my home and have good lighting and fixed line internet. I love my job!

ESL Teacher

Read Aloud

August 2017 to July 2018

Read Aloud was a start up ESL company started by a Chinese student in New York. We worked together until she graduated and moved to an education position in Philadelphia. I was her first language  English teacher. We had groups of 4 children in a class and 2 in a class depending on their level and taught over the Zoom platform using pre-prepared lessons. It was a lovely experience and I developed a good relationship with the children.
