Hello! My name is Alister Morris.
I am happy to see you today.

Whilst striving to teach and meet student English needs and expectations following my personal philosophy, I focus on keeping lessons simple, interactive, engaging and most of all… fun!¬
I offer English tuition at various levels.
1. Beginners and the young learners: using of props, flashcards and TPR. helps to relax students and enable them to quickly relate to me and the teaching.
2. Older students: here I use books, puppets and TPR to motivate, engage and encourage students learning.
3. Exam preparations: for KET, PET, FCE and CAE.
4. Conversational Oral English: for travellers, students and professional people
5. Business English: at all levels.
I have lived in and travelled to many countries and am passionate about the colourful, diverse and enriching cultures that I have experienced. I would like to continue travelling.
In my free time, I enjoy playing team sports (basketball, football) fishing, reading, watching nature documentaries and listening to relaxing concert music. Andre Rieu is my favourite artist.
I also value time spent around a barbeque with family and friends. This is very important to me.
I appreciate and encourage parental involvement student learning and write regular reviews covering different aspects of the students’ progress.
My teaching styles are informal and relaxed and strive to begin at the students’ levels of ability, initially, later extending them to higher levels at a pace that suits the individual capabilities.
I also hold a degree in MBA from Scotland and a B.Sc. in Biochemistry

From 2005 onwards most of my teaching has been at the corporate level to adults of multinational and multi-linguistic population groups where English is not their native language but English is used to communicate. This has largely been done in the Middle East and over an 8 year period, I worked in the countries of the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia, teaching corporate culture, change management, Business English, English to Medical Hospital staff, and quality management systems, health and safety systems.
