I have been a Registered Nurse in ICU’s for 20 years and am now retired. During my time as a nurse, I had many opportunities to teach and train new comers to the profession whether they were college students doing their clinicals or new employees. I have enjoyed watching people develop new skills as well as increase their knowledge base and become more confident and proficient in their profession.
I have also taught riding lessons to both children and adults in the past which was a lot of fun because not only did they have to use their logic but also learn balance, coordination, and control of a very large animal.
I would like to continue teaching but do so in a different realm such as this. Since English is my first language, I believe I could help people who are interested in learning this language. I am currently taking TESL course so that I may increase my knowledge base and thus be a more effective instructor for my future students.
