About Me
Introduction:
Hi everybody!
My name is Carley, and I am an enthusiastic and passionate educator. For the last six years I have studied psychology and education. I have five years teaching experience, varying in different age groups. I have taught as a tutor, lecturer and an online teacher. I am originally from South Africa but I now live in the USA.
I am confident that I am a good teacher, simply because it's not just my job its my life-passion. I believe that teaching and teachers set the platform in a childs development on which they grow and always refer back to. The influence of teaching is unmeasurable, and when we teach something as vital as english we empower our students by enabling them to connect and communicate with the rest of the world.
I am responsible and punctual but what makes me a great teacher is that I have an excellent balance between fun, energy, passion and responsibilty and care. My teaching style includes a lot of student engagement, use of realia and teaching tecniques such as repeating words and making rhymes.
In my spare time I love to go camping, and on occations like to dance.

I spent three years looking after small children, while I was completing my Bachelors. My job duties included taking care of children- making lunches, taking to and from school and doing homeowork. I did this for 3 years.
