I am Katie Moolman, a retired teacher who is still healthy, energetic and very passionate about teaching. I have 23+ years of experience in the educational field, having taught children from the age of 3 upto 18 years. I do though, as my prefer teaching the little ones, early years upto grade 2. I have spent the last 19 years of my career educating this group. My qualifications include a BA degree, Higher Education Diploma, a Post Graduate Diploma in Kindergarten and a TEFL Certificate. I was privileged to teach in South Africa, Oman, Qatar and Egypt. I believe teaching is a calling, rather than a job. As a teacher you work with the most precious material in the world - the life of a child. You influence, inspire, motivate, stimulate and have an impact in a life. Therefore a teacher should be sensitive, caring, loving and understanding in this job. It also implies knowledge of and creative application of the curriculum as well as good class management, giving each child has an opportunity to grow cognitively, emotionally and socially. This is my vision. Helping children to become responsible, well adapted and believing that they could make a difference in the world.
