Here is a quick description of myself.
I was born in Orange County, California and when I was 4 years old my family and I moved to El Salvador. I grew up speaking both English and Spanish at home and attended a bilingual school in El Salvador from Pre-School to High School. I spent half of my high school years divided between El Salvador and Reno, NV. After high school I attended college in Reno, Nevada where I pursued a degree in Business and Spanish.
I am blessed to have a multicultural background ranging from Europe to Central and South America. My parents and the rest of my family are both Latin American and bilingual in English and Spanish. My parents met in California attending ESL classes, which is one of the reasons behind my passion of ESL learning. My father is Salvadoran and my mother is of European decent but spent her whole life in Peru until she met my father. I have grown up multicultural and immersed into many Spanish speaking cultures. In college I studied abroad in San Sebastian Spain where I became even more in love with Spanish culture. I finished my TESOL certification through UNI-Prep on May of 2017, you can find my diploma attached to my profile along with a recommendation from UNI-Prep.
As my resume indicates, my professional history includes positions such as accounting specialist/administrative assistant, retail manager and banker. My supervisors relied on my ability of proofreading and paying close attention to detail as well as my excellent communications skills in both Spanish and English. My organized nature, personable attitude and ability to work well with others make me a great candidate for an ESL teaching position. I have always been passionate about teaching and I am planning a career change, I wish to move abroad and teach because I believe it will benefit to be immersed into different cultures. In addition to becoming an ESL teacher, I also wish to take two more ESL courses (TBE & TIEP) as well as obtain my teaching credentials in order to acquire more teaching experience toward a career I am a passionate about.
Please feel free to email or message me with any questions.
Thank you in advance for your consideration.
