About Me
Introduction:
My name is Claudia Garcia, I am currently an Application Support Specialist for a school district in Southern California, USA. I have been employed by my current district for the past 14 years. Previous to that, I was an Instructional Tutor for 12 years for another school district.
Working for school districts has given me the opportunity to serve teachers, staff, parents, and more important students. Many of the students I have assisted, are migrant students from different parts of the world. They have needed help to learn a new language in a foreign country. I have taken the responsibility of helping them learn a new language seriously. Many of these aids come in the form of programs, one on one tutoring, group tutoring, activities, and conversations. I strongly believe that if students learn a new language to communicate with others, it opens a door of opportunities for them; in many cases it opens the world to them. I am proud to say that by being part of their education, I am also part of their journey in life.
I am certain that I can be an asset to any instruction team. I have worked with a diverse variety of students and teachers. I bring to the table, experience, enthusiasm, cooperation, passion, and most importantly, a very positive attitude towards our young ones. They are the future. I am also fluent in Spanish, read, write and speak. I enjoy learning other languages such as Korean and Chinese. For me, languages are the window to the world. It would be my pleasure to join your team.
