Dear Hiring Manager,
Please find my resume attached. I am interested in applying for your ESL Teacher position. I look forward to teaching an academic curriculum that allows me to get to fulfill my students’ personal and professional goals. I have traveled extensively in North America and Europe and I’m excited to share my experiences with students.
I completed my TEFL/TESOL Certificate at the International TEFL Academy in person in Chicago, Illinois, USA . The curriculum included 180 hours of coursework, 15 hours of student teaching and additional hours of research, student assessment, and lesson planning for non-native adults. The experience was uplifting and comprehensive.
My professional experience includes my longest tenure at RockTenn, formerly Smurfit-Stone which I held an Accounting Manager position. My position involved hiring and training as well as document creation. Smurfit-Stone was acquired in May 2011 by RockTenn. After turning down a transfer and receiving a retention bonus to stay during the transition, where I prepared training documents and trained my replacement, the Chicago office was closed in May 2012. This was a blessing in disguise and has led me to where I am today.
After reviewing my qualifications, please contact me for consideration. I have managed many projects and have excellent references available upon request.
Regards,
Craig Furlong
