I love languages, travel, animals and kids. I come from a large, unconventional family and am very chatty.

I've studied or speak (to varying levels) 'Arabic', French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese and Hebrew, along with random words in various others. :) I would like to improve my Mandarin.

Originally from the UK. I've lived in Egypt, Libya and Japan and travelled in South America, SE Asia, and other places in Europe, North Africa and Israel.

I studied Arabic and Hebrew in the UK (Oxford and Salford) including a year in Cairo.

My hobbies/interests include origami, running/keeping fit, nutrition, language learning, walking in the woods, teaching myself how to cook, and any new or fun activity I haven't tried.

I have been many things in my time, including barman, dishwasher, warehouse worker, fruit picker, film extra, call centre worker, goatherder, financial researcher, multilingual technical proofreader, translator, and private tutor for sovereign wealth fund managers. I am happiest when outdoors or interacting with people and making people laugh and learn.
