It
is with great enthusiasm and interest that I apply for your advertised
position. In late 2010, I left the American Society of Clinical Oncology in
order to take the greatest risk of my life: starting my own business.
While I had plenty of experience managing others' businesses, I had never run
my own. So with an initial investment of $5000, and an idea, I formed
American Frontiers Education, with the goal of assisting international students
to gain an American education.
From
humble beginnings grow great things. After researching the industry and
acquiring all of the necessary certifications, I drafted a business plan that
estimated an intake of 5 students in year one, 25 in year two, and fifty in
year three. Through a combination successful marketing and development,
we were able to manage 12 students in the first year, 50 in the second, in our
third 235, and are currently on track to manage over 300 for the 2013-2014
school year.
This
exponential growth is due to several factors: one, we integrate technology to a
level that none of the competition does; two, we have expanded beyond our
initial F-1 and J-1 visa programs to offer web-based courses; and three, our
ability to meet both student an international recruiter needs and to provide an
exceptional level of service.
I
have come to realize how vital education is in the preparation for young people
to achieve success in all endeavors set before them. I hope to instill a love of learning and a
desire for constant knowledge within each student.
My
