EF Adults Indonesia is now hiring : INTERNATIONAL ENGLISH TEACHER
Summary:
English First (EF) is one of the biggest English learning centers in the world with more than 500 schools located in more than 52 countries. Our EF Adults centers in Indonesia have been providing quality English learning programs that focus on communicative competence, combined with our ‘Learn-Try-Apply’ method.
We are currently looking for an International English Teacher to fill in a position in one of our biggest schools located in central Jakarta, Indonesia. It is a prime center with 500 learners where you will be working with a dynamic academic team consisting of four other teachers.
As an International English Teacher, you are expected to work for 40 hours/week, including 24 hours of teaching. You are also required to work five days/week and will get two days off during the week. Working hours are from 12.00 – 21.00 as evening is the school’s peak time.
You are responsible and accountable for delivering quality education services to learners from the age of 18 years old and above in accordance with the school’s learning methodology in the center. This is achieved by actively working with all center staff and promoting and ensuring exemplary service through a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and support at all times. This teacher will report directly to a Senior Teacher to ensure smooth running of all aspects of teaching.
Academic responsibilities:
• deliver lessons using a variety of differentiated instructional techniques that are appropriate to the level and meet the diverse needs of learners
• plan and prepare lesson plans that meet core objectives and principles and are in line with EF Adults curriculum, as well as supplemental teaching materials and resources consistent with learning objectives and learners needs
• monitor student learning by providing beneficial constructive feedback
Person specifications:
• Be creative and innovative to maintain classroom environment conducive to optimal learning
• Outstanding communication and organizational skills, as well as teamwork to foster good working relationships with learners, teachers, and other functions
• Open-minded, adaptable to and passionate about dynamic circumstances and continued professional growth
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher preferably in Education or English, and/or
• Internationally recognized TESOL, TEFL, or CELTA/DELTA Certificate
• At least 2 years of teaching experience in an English language school
