About Me
Introduction:
I have a very strong interest in pursuing a teaching career. With experience teaching Sunday School at the elementary level and high school home schooling level, as well as in activities outside of the traditional classroom, I have a diverse background with much to offer.
My first classroom teaching experience was as a volunteer elementary religion teacher at a local church where I worked for two years. In addition, I worked as a home school teacher (one to one) for three years teaching high school level.
I particularly enjoyed working with "at-risk" children and careful preparation of lessons allowed me to break down sometimes complicated concepts to simple examples that my young students could grasp. Managing the difference of abilities among my students proved a difficult, but satisfying, challenge. I tailored activities to maintain the interest of high-level children without intimidating less skilled children.
During my career as bookkeeper I was at various occasions asked to train junior workers on various programs. This was extremely satisfying and exciting sharing my knowledge with my colleagues.
