About Me
Introduction:
Hi! my name is Ileana Guerra I am 37 years old and I am currently a Social studies and english teacher at a private school in my country Panama.
I am passionate about teaching and helping others become better, love to travel and learn about other cultures, currently looking for an international opportunity that will give me exposure to become a better teacher and enhance my abilities.
My main interest is to teach english as a second language. I would value training opportunities and would love to work in a multicultural environment.
for the last 5 years I worked in multinationals in roles related to training, but after a long thought I ultimately realised that teaching is my real vocation and is what I want to do for the next years to come, but you never really know what the future may bring so you must always be prepared for change.
In the past I ´ve been a substitute teacher in several ocassions at Colegio Brader of Panama for subjects like science, literature and social studies all taught in english, My first teaching experience was at the tender age of 19. Now I am teaching social studies in spanish, but my real interest is to teach english.

I teach social studies to 5 groups, 4 subjects and a total of 150 students per week,
Create all the necessary planning, administer tests, conduct individual tutoring to low performers, conduct parent meetings, evaluate student performance and develop motivation through dynamic driven methodology to ensure confidence level in students.
Deliver classes with academic resources as videos, practical exercises, field trips or bonding activities to level up team work and develop the executive functions in teens.
