Hello! As a free-lance artist, with a degree in English literature, over the past 10 years I have taught English, Art and Japanese in the USA, Japan, South Korea, and now in Beijing, through the Internet.
Last summer I visited Taiwan, and I am planning a visit to Beijing this Spring. I'm so excited! I have a special attachment to the fascinating people and cultures of Asia. But, with European roots, I would also love to work in Europe.
My hobbies include baking cookies, reading, singing, art, and drama. I use my hobbies, art skills developed in my previous career, and community activities of singing and acting, to make teaching fun for my students and for me!

Box Elder High School
August 2014 to August 2015
As a temporary, one year hire, I was privileged to teach some of the coolest high school students English! We used art and music to study Emerson and explore poetry. We read plays, novels and wrote argumentative and persuasive essays. It was a wonderful year of learning about great authors and ourselves!
Soldier Hollow Charter School
January 2014 to June 2014
Before the middle school part of this charter school was removed, I had the privilege of taking over as English Language Arts teacher for students in grades 6 through 8. As a culminating English learning and application experience, we performed a portion of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream for parents and friends. My most gifted students edited the content, students studying ballet danced as the faeries, and everyone had a memorable and exciting final month!
