My Profile

I am the proud mother of two highly active boys (10 and 14 years old). Both were diagnosed with severe ADHD at a young age. My boys were blessed with a high IQ and are in a special school for gifted children. As is with most children with advanced IQ’s, their EQ’s are lower than average. To deal with such children require a special kind of patience, perseverance, and determination.

In South Africa it is problematic as the country does not truly cater for progressive students. Although they are in a special school, I invest time educating them at home in their advanced learning subjects (including English as our home language) and developing their social skills.

Since I have the fortitude for skills development, I was given the opportunity to not only successfully train prospective accountants throughout my career, but to also teach English to isiNyanja speaking Zambians during the five years I resided and worked in Zambia.

As of April 2018, I tutored children and adults of varying ages in a diverse South African culture in their various subjects and interests, of which language was only one.

I am an energetic, enthusiastic, creative, and spontaneous person and for that reason I decided to redirect my career in an entirely different direction and become a fulltime teacher and tutor. Languages, especially English, come naturally to me, so that became my focal point.

My career taught me to the ability to work within diverse cultures, different and often challenging personalities, under extreme pressure, and endure long hours of paying attention to detail. I am proud to say that I have the aptitude to convey these skills to children and adults of varying ages.

It is my goal to be a superlative tutor to my students and not only surpass expectations, but to also develop my skills further as a teacher and tutor.
