My Profile

My name is Kamvalethu (Kay) Landzela. I was born in Cape Town, South Africa and I've been living in this state since birth. I have a Baccalaureus Technology Degree (BTech) in Chemical Engineering, a TEFL certificate, and over 5 years of experience as an Online English Teacher. My role as an online teacher has involved planning, preparing, and delivering lessons via individual and group classes to various age group divisions ranging from kindergarten kids to adults. My teaching style involves a lot of flexibility with the understanding that all my students are different, and thus have different interests. I primarily focus on the three R's of RESPECT, RESPONSE, and the RIGHT way to learn which is using a lot of TPR, modeling and class interaction. I teach with confidence and hope that energy gets transferred to my students and thus creates a safe space that doesn't shy away from making mistakes but embraces and learns from them. I'm an optimistic young adult who finds great pleasure in interacting with new people and learning different aspects of life. I'm easy-going, adventurous, and very empathetic. Every day I thrive to be a better version of myself by having a positive outlook on the future.
