I have been working as a tutor for over 5 years. I have also worked as a volunteer in a pre-school where I served as an Assistant Teacher. I am bringing to the table a pool that I believe can
provide immense benefit to any organization to experience real growth – experience and maturity. I am looking to be part of a team that will utilize
these for our mutual growth.
You will benefit immensely from my drive for excellence
and an excellent work ethic.

Star Academy
February 2011 to December 2015
My primary responsibility was to give assistance to
students who had problems with their Math and Accounting papers. I focused on
the IGCSE and AAT syllabi. Occasionally, I taught Business Studies and other
university courses. I was expected to go through past Exam papers with them and
to attend to whatever other problems the students had. In some instances, we
would go through their homework together. Whenever I was introduced to a class,
I took the liberty of asking every individual in that class where their main
problem areas were. This assisted me in prioritising the most frequent problem
topics and helped me greatly when drafting weekly lesson plans. For reporting
purposes every tutor was expected to compile monthly tests which they would
submit in the third week for administrative assessment. The tests were
administered a week later after all necessary adjustments were made and marks
and comments populated on Google drive every second week of the month. Parents
would then be called in for reports.
Self
February 2005 to Current
I have always had students coming to me for help from my school years. With the experience I got from the tutorial centre and many referrals from previous students, I started tutoring privately whenever I had the time. So, although I am not teaching at any tutorial centre right now, I still tutor the same subjects on a part time basis. Over and above that, I started giving violin lessons March last year and will be registering my first students for their first exam with Trinity College London this June.
Lete Heights Pre-School
August 2007 to November 2007
My role entailed meeting and taking children to their
cars/parents upon arrival and at departure times, assisting teachers with
getting the children to learn how to read and write, monitoring the children at
play times and assisting with cleaning them whenever there was need. I also fed
those that needed assistance in this regard.
