Introduction:

Good day,

I am Keron Richardson and I would love to be your online teacher as you are either beginning your journey to learning English or simply starting where you left off.

Coming from a family of educators where my grandmother, mother and aunt have been lifelong teachers, I have always had positive role models to emulate and nurture my passion to teach and help others. Now having both the qualifications and experience necessary to become a teacher, I look forward to the opportunity to making a positive impact in a student's life thereby enabling them towards achieving their goals.

I possess a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature and have more than six years of teaching experience. While pursuing my Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of the Southern Caribbean (USC), in 2014 I was employed as a student teacher within The Language Center (TLC) which falls under the USC's Humanities department. During which time I taught non-English speaking students from various Caribbean islands, South American countries as well as European countries. I taught students consisting of French, Portuguese and Spanish speaking backgrounds from ages seventeen to fifty-four.

After graduating in 2017, I earned my teacher's license. I have taught English comprehension, reading, pronunciation and spelling to my students from self-created lesson plans based on the English Language syllabus.I have comprehensive knowledge in the literary genres of poetry, fiction, non-fiction and drama. I have also completed studies in American, and English Literature as it pertains to the University level. I am also well versed in the American educational system having successfully prepared students via exam classes for the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) through private lessons.

So, having experience within both the public and private sector, I have been instilled with the flexibility to work in different education systems and different time schedules. Also, teaching students at the primary, secondary and tertiary levels, varying ages and different nationalities has enabled me to competently cater towards the unique needs of today’s students.

I am very passionate about spreading the joy of the English language to young learners and those who would like to further their English language skills.

I look forward to meeting you.

Regards,

Keron Richardson
