Nebraska School for Visually Impaired and Blind People
June 2022 to Current
I am volunteering at a week long summer camp for students between 6 and 16 years of age. I am mostly present during fun recreational excursions. The talent show, swimming, golf, frisbee, park visit, campfire and a making a musical "shaker" musical instrument workshop. I am a volunteer with professionals who are trained specifically to work with visually impaired and blind children. I interact with the children but I am in a back up secondary position in case an extra person is needed. I am in person at the excursion.

During salon exhibits I taught workshops online and in person. The workshops were focused on Up-Cycling clothing, zero waste design and how to lower fashion industry waste of fabrics.

I taught fashion design workshop 3hr 5 days a week 4 weeks, Taught "peace pillows" a bi-weekly 2hr course on making pillows for persons transition out of domestic violent situations. taught 4 weeks. Additional I taught weekend workshops on Zero Waste Bag making. 3hr sessions. This is a live work summer arts program. I am teaching there again this summer between June and August.
