Introduction:

Greetings, I would like to start of by sharing two important details about myself; firstly, I am teacher by birth and profession, I love teaching, it’s always been the path I was designed the follow and truly regard it as my truly calling in life, hence the reason I choose teaching as a career path, The second important detail I’d like share is that I have lived in South Africa my entire life, I have always longed to travel the world, learn new cultures, see new people, and importantly, experience the feeling of being in a different country.

I am a true believer in witnessing something first hand before making an informed conclusion on it, and it’s largely rumored that South Korea is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, so a curious and adventurous person like myself started contemplating at the prospect of making South Korea the first country to have my first international travel experience with. I’m truly excited at the prospect of living and practicing my teaching skills in this beautiful country.

As previously stated, I am a professional teacher who acquired his B.Ed. degree at the University of the Witwaterand, and I can assure you that my education philosophy is fueled by progressive, productive and developmental intentions. I strongly believe in inclusive education, it strongly believe that it’s essential to ensure that my approach is tailored to the specific learning needs of each student. I get to know the students as individuals so I can appropriately support and challenge the academically. I want my students to value their own ability to think creatively and encourage them to use novel ways to demonstrate their knowledge. I feel that the social and emotional development of each student is paramount and that good content mastery can only happen when children feel safe in the school environment, and I am truly committed to teaching the core educational requirements for each age group and providing the feedback that comes with grading. I go beyond standardized assessments and create a sense of leadership and capability in my students as citizens of the community, and most importantly, I prioritize my relationship with my students and model the behaviors I want to see in students through good communication and genuine interest in understanding other perspectives.

In conclusion, I would like to state that adaptation is one of the traits I value about myself. The prospect of moving to South Korean and adapting to a new culture evokes feelings of excitement, joy and curiosity, and judging from the willingness of large amounts of people desiring to return to South Korean adds an extra incentive to witness this exceptional country first hand, so I’d regard it as an honor to be provided with an opportunity to live and work in this remarkable country, and admittedly, this would be a dream come true for me, lastly, I have to confess that I am a huge admirer of edibles, so I’m looking forward to feasting on the finest cuisines South Korea has to offer. I was informed that South Korean cuisine is another part of the culture that can take some time getting used to, luckily, I'm a huge fan of spicy flavors, and again, it would be an honor to come to South Korea.

thank you
