About Me
Introduction:
Hi there!
My name is Roy and now that I have your attention, I would like to introduce myself. I am 25 years old, was born and raised in Hoek van Holland, which is in the western part of the Netherlands. After graduating middle/high school in 2010 (we don't really have a high school system in Holland) I went on to study International Business Management in Rotterdam, which was completely in English. During my studies I did my internship and thesis abroad in Australia and Belgium. After graduating in 2014 I moved to South Africa where I worked as a customer service employee for about eight months. After that experience I became a back end software developer in the Netherlands for a Dutch bank.
After some consideration I got my TEFL certificate and left for Vietnam, where I have been teaching English for over four months and where I have most recently been working on a project on Cat Ba island. The project was the building of and setting up of a managing system for an Eco Lodge. I am ready for a new challenge and would like to find this challenge in another country than Vietnam. I really enjoyed teaching English and would like to continue working as a teacher.
I am patient, friendly and good with people of all ages. I can manage small and big class rooms, having managed class sizes of three students up to class sizes of 50 students. I am reliable, honest and sincere and always in for a laugh or two.
