I have taught in the Arabian/Persian Gulf and the People’s Republic of China (PRC) for 10 years. I have more than 25 years of teaching experience on all levels, in the United States, online, and as a language center director. Overseas, I have taught in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, the PRC, Spain and online.
I have, among six university degrees, a Master of Arts in English Applied Linguistics, a certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL), as well as teaching qualifications in English as a Second Language (ESL), English, writers’ workshops, social studies and Spanish. I have taught all age levels, online and adults. I have experience with technology. I apply differentiated learning. I already speak Spanish and have studied French, Arabic and Latin. I edit and write research papers.
While in the UAE, I was director and head English teacher of the American Education/Language Center for two years. I enjoy after-school clubs and coaching. You will find me quite versatile: online and classroom, support, and pull-out teacher, editor and research paper writer.
