Business Profile

We are a private English school teaching students between the ages of 4 up to adult classes. Our primary student base is children but we also offer adult classes 2 or 3 times per week currently. Unlike many English schools, we have small class sizes of 4-7 students. Teachers are expected to teach up to 15 hours of class per week, giving our teachers ample paid time in school for class preparation and correcting homework in a 40 to 48-hour work week.

The atmosphere at Sunny Days promotes friendship and team spirit amongst the staff. The opinions of each staff member are valuable and appreciated in reaching our goals of being a better school today than we were yesterday. Every new staff member has an experience or talent that will help benefit our students and our school.

We understand that working overseas is a big change in one’s life. Sunny Days will do everything we can to make that change as easy as possible. Your accommodations will be paid for by the school. We will find you a furnished apartment and cover the cost of the apartment’s associated utilities (electricity, gas, and internet). We will also assist you in activating a local mobile phone number.

The curriculum taught at Sunny Days is already established with many teaching materials, teaching aids, interactive media and homework videos in place. We expect teachers to be creative and tailor their classes and lesson plans according to the age and skill level of the students being taught in each class.

Unlike many overseas English schools, we have invested thousands of hours into the development of our curriculum and materials. Therefore, new teachers can expect to work at a school that prepares their staff for the classroom. Bilingual teachers are on staff to liaise between Chinese students, parents and our native English speaking teachers.

Liuyang is not a heavily populated or polluted city. You can enjoy nice walks along the river or walk around the city without feeling like you are wading through a sea of people.
