Introduction:

My name is Terry Park. I am a Canadian EFL teacher. I am a native speaker. I have a 4 year Bachelor’s degree and a CELTA certificate, both of which were earned in Canada. As a highly dedicated and passionate teaching professional, with 3 years of EFL teaching experience, I am confident in my ability to become a valuable member of your teaching staff.

The resume will highlight my experience and showcase my commitment to the EFL field. Being a versatile educator, I have instructed a wide variety of students with different levels of skill. As a result, I am a compassionate teacher, who remains sensitive to each student’s unique needs, provides individual and group support, and offers encouragement to keep students focused and motivated.

One of the most successful ways that I assist EFL students is by developing and delivering concise and stimulating lesson plans that accommodate all learning styles. I research and incorporate a variety of resources to assist students via visual, audio, tactile, and kinesthetic methods. In addition, I integrate stimulating lessons with ample review and revision to ensure that each student is able to understand and retain the concepts and material being taught. My goal is foster an open and supportive classroom, in which each student feels safe, secure, and appropriately challenged.

Public Elementary School Teacher

TALK​ (Teach and Learn in Korea)

July 2014 to June 2015

- Prepared and delivered English grammar lessons in a public elementary school, resulting in gradual improvements in students’ overall English proficiency and confidence. - Created weekly after school lessons in preparation for the Seoul English Speaking Competition, which led to students placing third out of a total 67 participating schools. - Presented weekly progress reports to school principal and supervising teacher; consisting of student progress reports, lesson plan agendas, and student evaluation techniques.
