Walid Salameh

Dear Sir/Madam

I am a Ph.D. Degree applicant with over than 26 years of experience in teaching at different universities in Palestine and the UAE. I am currently teaching at University College of Educational Sciences in Ramallah- Palestine. I have taught at the AUS in Sharjah as clarified in my CV in addition to the University of Sharjah and Canadian University in Dubai . I have been a teacher trainer and a supervisor for more than 15 years at the Ministry of Education in the UAE. Currently I have a part time job at UCES in Ramallah as a TAFL Assistant Professor.

I believe that my coursework and my experience with students have prepared me well for the position I currently hold, and have been for the past years. Understanding the complexities associated with learning a second language has helped me reach out to the students more effectively. Moreover, having taught for 26 years has caused me to develop a personal teaching style. In my teaching philosophy, I adopt a student-centered approach that keeps students involved in the lecture, which is particularly crucial in long lecture sessions.

For myself, teaching provides an opportunity for continual learning and growth. One of my hopes as an educator is to instill a love of learning in my students, as I share my own passion for learning with them. I feel there is a need for compassionate, strong, and dedicated individuals who are excited about working with children. In our competitive society it is important for students to not only receive a solid education, but to work with someone who is aware of and sensitive to their individual needs. I am such a person and will always strive to be the best educator that I can be. I am a hardworking, sincere and dedicated worker. By working at universities of such repute, I have learnt certain values such as integrity and respect . I assure you that if I am selected, I will give it my best
